Welcome to the WVU BGSA!
The WVU Biology Graduate Student Association (BGSA) provides a forum where graduate student concerns are discussed, opinions on actions and proposals of the Faculty may be expressed, and proposals of the Biology Department and graduate student group may be initiated. In addition to our academic missions, the BGSA functions with the social interests of graduate students in mind. We provide numerous opportunities for students to interact with each other and broaden their experiences in graduate school. The BGSA strives to assist in producing well-rounded and well-educated graduates.

Student Spotlight
May’s grad student spotlight features Cameron Corbett, a PhD Candidate in Dr. Craig Barrett’s lab. Cameron's research focuses on an invasive grass species called stiltgrass (Microstegium vimineum). Cameron uses herbarium and contemporary specimens to map out invasion history to identify source populations and how genetic diversity has changed over time. Keep up the great work, Cameron!
